HOMEWORK SUPPORT
Homework support is a valuable service that provides assistance to students in completing their assignments and understanding the material they are studying. It goes beyond simply helping students with their homework; it aims to reinforce classroom lessons, improve academic performance, and build students’ confidence in their abilities. Whether it involves explaining concepts, guiding research, or offering study techniques, homework support plays a crucial role in enhancing learning outcomes and empowering students to succeed.
We provide Impromptu and scheduled homework support every Saturday, from 10.30 am to 12.00 noon, and on Wednesday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Zoom meetings are also available for far-away kids. Transport is also available for local kids.
MENTORING
Mentoring is a powerful relationship that offers guidance, support, and inspiration to individuals seeking personal or professional development. Our mentors act as trusted advisors, sharing their knowledge and experience to help mentees navigate challenges, set goals, and achieve their aspirations. Through regular interactions and meaningful conversations, the mentors provide valuable insights, offer advice, and foster a sense of motivation and self-belief.
The Founders and Leaders of SALBAGOSS have gone through a lot of hardship. Their achievements came as a result of other people’s generosity. It is their turn now to give back and become mentors. They walked the same paths and experience the same hardships. If they could do it, these young people can also do it.
TRANSLATION & INTERPRETATION
In today’s interconnected world, translation and interpreting services play a vital role in bridging language barriers and facilitating effective communication. Our translators and interpreters ensure that information can be accurately and meaningfully conveyed between individuals who speak different languages. Translators specialize in converting written content from one language to another, while interpreters excel in facilitating real-time oral communication. By enabling multilingual interactions, these services promote understanding, inclusivity, and cooperation across diverse cultures and communities. Provide free translation of vital information from English to local dialects. We have translated and recorded audio for COVID-19 information in Dinka. We also charge minimal fees to support our services.
ORPHANAGE SUPPORT
Orphanage support program encompasses various forms of assistance and resources provided to institutions that care for children without parents or guardians. Whether through financial contributions, donations of essential items, or volunteering time and skills, the aim is to improve the well-being and quality of life for orphaned children. These efforts help create a safe and nurturing environment where children have access to education, healthcare, emotional support, and opportunities for growth. SALBAGOSS Inc acknowledges the importance of providing care and stability to vulnerable children, offering them a chance for a brighter future.
SALBAGOSS collaborates with Project Hope South Sudan Inc to build houses for orphanage boys and girls in the Republic of South Sudan. Over 32 children have been sponsored in local schools.
COMMUNITY LANGUAGE SCHOOL
Our first language education focuses on teaching and preserving an individual’s native language. It recognizes the significance of maintaining linguistic and cultural diversity in society. First language education programs aim to develop proficiency and literacy in the native language, whether in schools, community centers, or through specialized initiatives. By providing instruction in the first language, these programs help individuals maintain a strong connection to their cultural heritage, enhance cognitive development, and foster a sense of identity and belonging. First-language education plays a crucial role in preserving languages, promoting inclusivity, and celebrating the rich tapestry of human expression. We provide first-language education and cultural dance practices every Saturday from 9.00 am to 11.00 am. If need more information, please give us a call.
